SAITAMA-Unions stop authorities from cutting non-regular workers’ bonuses. municipal workers’ unions negotiate with the municipal authorities over wages and working conditions from October to December every year.

In Saitama Prefecture, municipal authorities proposed reducing bonuses not only for regular workers but also for non-regular workers by 0.05 percent.

Saitama Jichiroren held a union representative meeting and decided to stop the authorities from reducing bonuses for non-regular workers. Because it is illogical that their bonus reduction rate is the same as regular workers’, though non-regular workers are not given equal treatment with the regular.

Local unions’ negotiations resulted in realizing the withdrawal of the bonus reduction for non-regular municipal workers in 11 unions.
